This Privacy Policy explains how Ghost Finder ("the app"), developed by BefuddleBug ("we," "our," or "us"), handles information. It applies specifically to the Ghost Finder application on the Meta Horizon Store.

1. Information the App Accesses

To play in your real room, Ghost Finder accesses the following on your headset:

• Microphone audio, used only while you play: to measure how quiet the room is in certain spots, and to recognize the questions you speak aloud during seances so the spirit can answer. Speech is recognized by an offline speech model that runs entirely on your headset.
• Room layout (spatial data) from your headset's Space Setup, such as the positions of walls, floor, ceiling, and furniture, used only to place the game's anomalies in your room.

Microphone audio is processed in memory as it arrives and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. Room layout is used only on your device while the app runs. Neither is stored on any server, shared with the developer, sold, or transmitted to any third party. The developer never receives or retains this information. Ghost Finder has no internet permission, no network features, no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts.

You can deny microphone access. The app still runs, and seances fall back to listening for sound instead of words.

2. Game Save Data

Your settings, hunt progress, field database, and trophy shelf are stored locally on your device only. To keep your progress tied to the room you played in, the save file includes a numeric room fingerprint calculated from the room layout. It cannot be used to reconstruct your room. The save file contains no personal information and is never transmitted anywhere.

3. Data Deletion

You can delete all of the app's saved data at any time by choosing Settings > Reset all progress in the app, by clearing the app's data, or by uninstalling the app. Because the app does not store your information on any server, there is nothing retained for the developer to delete. This right is available to all users, in every country, without exception. If you have any question or wish to make a data request, contact us at the email below and it will be honored.

4. Children's Privacy

Ghost Finder is intended for teens and adults and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

5. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
